Please do you mean I should check if DNSExit obtains an IP? I thought public IP checking is done by the pfsense box itself and then updates the cache of the DNSExit hostname? How can it be DNSExit's fault here? DNSExit is free and I just need a few hostnames which is why I use it. It does update it successfully but the Cached IP still remains 0.0.0.0. So based on what I see in the logs, DynDNS tries to update the IP because it obviously sees that the Cached IP is not equal to the Public IP extracted from. To save our system resources, please don't post updates unless the IP got changed.įeb 22 19:02:32 php-fpm 1088 /rc.dyndns.update: phpDynDNS (public FQDN): (Unknown Response) Cached IP: 0.0.0.0 WAN IP: Feb 22 19:02:31 php-fpm 1088 /rc.dyndns.update: Dynamic DNS dnsexit (public FQDN): _update() starting.įeb 22 19:02:32 php-fpm 1088 /rc.dyndns.update: Dynamic DNS dnsexit (public FQDN): _checkStatus() starting.įeb 22 19:02:32 php-fpm 1088 /rc.dyndns.update: phpDynDNS (public FQDN): PAYLOAD: HTTP/1.1 200 OK 4=IP not changed. found igb0įeb 22 19:02:31 php-fpm 1088 /rc.dyndns.update: Dynamic DNS dnsexit (public FQDN): extracted from įeb 22 19:02:31 php-fpm 1088 /rc.dyndns.update: Dynamic Dns (public FQDN): Current WAN IP: Cached IP: 0.0.0.0įeb 22 19:02:31 php-fpm 1088 /rc.dyndns.update: DynDns (public FQDN): Dynamic Dns: cacheIP != wan_ip.
